Neutering

There can be health and behavioural benefits of neutering your pet, as well as the prevention of unwanted babies!

Males are castrated (testicles removed) and females are spayed (ovary and uterus removed)

Cats and Rabbits can be neutered from 4 months, or over 2kg in weight. Dogs can be neutered from 6 months old but larger breeds are better left until over 12 months old, whilst they are still growing.

We recommend a free check up with the Vet or Vet Nurse before booking in, to discuss the best timing for your pet.

We no longer recommend neutering for Ferrets as this can be detrimental to their health. We offer vasectomies for Hobbs or hormone implants for either sex.
